Students in Mrs. Nash-Mayberry's Civics classes today and Thursday received the opportunity to speak via a Google Meet with author, retired policeman, and teacher Paul Echols. Echols was very instrumental in solving the cold case of 9 murders committed in the last 1970s/80 by a criminal throughout southern Illinois and Missouri. He also worked with the Innocence Project to clear a person's name who was wrongly convicted for a crime in southern Illinois that they didn't commit. Students appreciated him answering all of their questions about criminal justice.

Mrs. Engelmann is excited to receive all of this new cooking equipment that was purchased with a grant through Five County Regional Vocational System
