Family and Consumer Sciences Club members are cutting scent cloths to donate to the NICU at Children’s Hospital. Scent cloths promote bonding between moms and their babies who are staying in the NICU. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 👣





Juniors in Mrs. Nash-Mayberry's Career & Consumer Economics have been learning about careers, resumes, cover letters. They are gaining real world experiences while practicing mock job interviews with the Superintendent, Mr. Shoemate, which are conducted in front of the entire class. Second quarter, juniors will learn some basic microeconomics concepts, how to budget their money, check writing, and a unit on media literacy. These real world lessons will then continue when they have Mrs. Engelmann for Adult Living their senior year, and learn about credit, taxes, renting, and the cost of student loans.

Student editors Grace White, Isaac Reiman, Daniel Demmin, and James Pope in Mrs Nashberry's AV club learned how to operate the green screen room with Mr Callaway's help today and will soon start production of this season's Appleknocker News.

6th graders participated in a mock trial of Hammurabi’s Court this morning as they interpreted early written laws. These students really got into their roles!
