Pigs for the letter P in Kindergarten Art Class with Ms. Margarita

Attention Families- The State of Illinois requires certain Health Records by Grade Level- Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, 9th, and 12th. Also requirements for new students from out of state, students transferring from other Illinois schools, and sports physicals. Nurse Erin has sent home reminders with students who need some of these documents for their medical file. The deadline for these documents is October 15th. If your student is not compliant with Illinois School Code mandates for these health documents, the student will NOT be allowed to attend school after October 14th of the current year until the items are received by the school. Please call Nurse Erin at 618-893-2311 if you have questions.

Baking a cake for the letter “C”.

Our Book Blast was an amazing Treasure Hunt where we gave away fun participation prizes, 4 Treasure Chests full of cash, and even an iPad. What an adventuresome 2 weeks! Now that the first part of the adventure is over, we can look forward to what’s ahead. First, the names of our shopping spree winners can be expected to arrive at the end of next week. How exciting! Those students will be awarded shopping sprees on the Books Are Fun website, where they will find hundreds of the latest and greatest new book titles and some fun STEAM and STEM items. Then, the second part of the Book Blast is yet to come! Within 2-3 weeks, your students will receive all the books they earned as part of the Book Blast. Our event was a huge success where EVERY student will bring home at least 1 new book, but some will bring home up to 10. Woohoo! We thank all of you for the amazing outpouring of support for our students and the celebration of literacy coming to your school very soon!

5th Graders presented their suitcases with special items in them just like Bud in the novel they are reading, Bud, Not Buddy.
